Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Dependent Dropdowns for Google Sheets™, a Codeprint product, collects, uses, stores, and shares information. Dependent Dropdowns for Google Sheets™ is not directed to children under 13.

Information we collect

• Google account information: your Google account identifier and email address, used to connect the add-on to the correct account, allowance, and subscription.
• Account and usage records: your plan, subscription status, lifetime number of configurations created, installation records, and related operational and security records.
• Configuration information inside Google: the source range, hierarchy columns, destination range, destination-column mapping, status, and related settings for each configuration. These settings are stored in the spreadsheet's Google Apps Script document properties. Spreadsheet cell values and dropdown choices are not sent to Codeprint or Supabase.
• Billing information: Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, selected plan, billing status, and transaction records. Stripe collects and processes payment-card details on its hosted pages; Codeprint does not store complete card numbers.
• Technical information: essential authentication, hosting, billing, diagnostic, and security records, which may include an account or installation identifier, IP address, browser type, request time, and error information.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate you through Google, connect the add-on and website account page to your Codeprint account, create and maintain dependent-dropdown configurations in the current spreadsheet, enforce the three-configuration Free allowance, show your plan and usage, administer Pro subscriptions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, support users, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information or Google user data. We do not use it for advertising, credit decisions, or lending.

No artificial-intelligence or machine-learning use

Dependent Dropdowns for Google Sheets™ does not send Google Workspace user data to an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model or use such data to create, train, fine-tune, evaluate, or improve a generalized AI or machine-learning model.

Our use of raw or derived data received from Google Workspace APIs adheres to the Google Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Google user data and spreadsheet access

Configuration settings are stored with the spreadsheet through Google Apps Script document properties. Authentication session and installation credentials are stored in user-scoped Google Apps Script properties so the add-on can connect automatically without a separate sign-in.

Google OAuth permissions

Dependent Dropdowns for Google Sheets™ requests the following Google OAuth scopes and uses each only for the user-facing purpose described:

• openid: verifies the identity of the signed-in Google user before connecting the add-on to the correct account.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email: provides the signed-in email address used to identify the account, enforce its Free allowance, and associate its subscription.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets.currentonly: reads the source and destination ranges needed to create, update, repair, pause, resume, or delete dropdown configurations in the currently open spreadsheet. It does not provide access to every spreadsheet or permit the add-on to search Google Drive.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.container.ui: displays the Dependent Dropdowns for Google Sheets™ menu, sidebar, and dialogs inside the current Google Sheet.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.scriptapp: creates and manages an edit trigger for the current spreadsheet so choosing a parent value immediately filters the next dropdown. The trigger updates only configured ranges in that spreadsheet and does not send cell values to Codeprint.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.external_request: connects the add-on to Supabase for Google-based authentication, installation and account records, Free-tier configuration counts, subscription status, checkout, and billing management. Spreadsheet cell values and dropdown choices are not included in these requests.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs through Dependent Dropdowns for Google Sheets™ adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Human access to Google user data is limited to cases where you give permission, it is necessary for security or troubleshooting, or it is required by law.

Who we share information with

• Google: processes your identity, the current spreadsheet, Google Apps Script execution, configuration settings, and user-scoped session properties.
• Supabase: authenticates your Google identity and stores your account identifier and email, installation and account records, plan, lifetime configuration count, subscription status, and operational and security records. It does not receive spreadsheet cell contents or dropdown values.
• Stripe: receives your billing email, an internal account identifier, selected plan, subscription metadata, and payment information needed for checkout, invoicing, and billing management. It does not receive spreadsheet content.
• Vercel: hosts the public website and may process IP addresses and ordinary hosting and security logs. It does not receive spreadsheet content from the add-on.

These companies provide identity, infrastructure, hosting, or payment services needed to operate Dependent Dropdowns for Google Sheets™. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, Codeprint, or the public from fraud, abuse, or security threats. We do not otherwise share Google user data with unrelated third parties.

Cookies and local storage

The website does not use advertising cookies. If you sign in to the account page, Supabase sets essential authentication cookies so the website can keep you signed in securely and show only your own plan, usage, and billing controls. Authentication for the Sheets add-on remains in user-scoped Google Apps Script properties. Service providers may also use essential security technology and ordinary server logs.

Retention

Account, installation, usage, subscription, billing, and security records are retained while needed to operate the service and for as long as reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, maintain financial records, and meet legal obligations. Configuration settings remain with the Google spreadsheet until they are deleted through the add-on or removed from the document.

When you disconnect the add-on, its user-scoped session and installation credentials are deleted from Google Apps Script properties. Deletion requests may not cover records we must retain for legal, accounting, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards.

Your choices and requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to certain processing. You can disconnect Dependent Dropdowns for Google Sheets™ from its sidebar and revoke its access through your Google account permissions. To make a privacy or account-deletion request, email us from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here with a new last-updated date and provide additional notice when required.
